Princeton survives Little Falls comeback, wins 3-1

The Princeton Tigers survived a determined comeback attempt by the Little Falls Flyers on the way to a 3-1 win.

A goal by Jordan Forschen put Princeton up 3-0 in the second period, but Little Falls pulled to within two on Mack Anez's tally 1:11 into the third period.

The Tigers were led by Dan Muench, who grabbed one goal. Muench scored 13:57 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Princeton. Forschen provided the assist.

Princeton excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Tigers could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Princeton averages 5.7 goals per game.

Princeton also got points from Forschen, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Princeton also got a goal from Jake Green as well. Other players who recorded assists for Princeton were Daniel Voce, A.J. Wesloh, and Chase Lindenfelser, who contributed one a piece.

The Flyers stifled the Tigers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Little Falls did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Flyers put an average of 3.8 pucks into the net per game.

Max Mattson made 14 saves for Princeton on 15 shots. The Tigers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Michael Stumpf rejected 13 shots on goal for Little Falls. The Flyers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
