Rochester Century falls to Owatonna after surprising comeback

The Owatonna Huskies climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat the Rochester Century Panthers, 3-2.

Owatonna never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Huskies was down 2-0 after a power play goal by Rochester Century's Jacob Roth at 12:40 in the first period. Owatonna knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Aaron Kirsch at 14:13 in the second period. The Huskies scored the game winner at 3:32 in the third period on a goal by Kirsch.

Owatonna was paced by Jordan Kline, who tallied one goal.

Owatonna also got points from Kirsch, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Owatonna also got a goal from Mason Bloomquis as well. In addition, Owatonna received assists from Brian Kidd and Erik Colstrup, who each chipped in one.

The Panthers did not rack up many penalties in the contest, finishing with just one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Alex Ney also scored for Rochester Century. Other players who recorded assists for Rochester Century were Matthew Sturchio and Dalton Travis, who contributed one a piece.

Greg Somers rejected 13 shots on goal for the Huskies. Owatonna incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Eric Rohleder recorded 24 saves for Rochester Century. The Panthers registered one goal on two power play opportunities.
