North Shore blows out Pine City/Rush City, 8-1Pine City High School Sat, Dec 08, 2012 North Shore had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 8-1 win over the Pine City/Rush City Dragons. Bradley Rowlee was all over the ice for North Shore, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Rowlee scored the first of his two goals at 9:52 into the second period to make the score 4-0 North Shore. Corey Johnson picked up the assist. Rowlee's next tally made the score 6-0 North Shore with 19:54 left in the third period. Luke Small assisted on the tally. North Shore kept Pine City/Rush City's goalie busy throughout the game, and Tony Pitzen made 35 saves on 43 shots. North Shore additionally got points from Tyler Schramm, who also registered one goal and one assist, Ryan Rasmussen, who also had one goal and one assist, and Johah Koehler, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for North Shore included Brad Smith, who had one and Marcus Small, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for North Shore were Mills Johnson, who had one and Mike Nordean, who had two. The Dragons could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game. Pine City/Rush City also got a goal from Coltin Malchow as well. More assists for Pine City/Rush City came via Dewy Carr, who had one. Zach Duresky rejected 26 shots on goal for North Shore. North Shore incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Pine City/Rush City registered one goal on three power play opportunities.
