Huge game by Graves boosts Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson over Becker-Big Lake, 8-4

Derek Graves was all over the ice for the Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson Mustangs, as he tallied four goals and one assist in Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson's 8-4 win over the Becker-Big Lake Eagles.

Graves' first goal came 9:00 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:42 into the second, at 8:58 into the second, and at 11:12 into the third.

Becker-Big Lake was unable to stop the Mustangs from sending pucks towards the net, and Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson eventually piled up 44 shots on goal. The Mustangs found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson averages 5.6 goals per game.

Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson additionally got points from Troy Jones, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Dylan Libra, who also registered one goal and four assists. Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson also got a goal from Connor Cannon as well. In addition, Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson received assists from Hunter Wedin, who had three and Thomas Pasillas and Jake Janousek, who each chipped in one.

The Eagles forced the Mustangs goalie Tanner Baxley to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots.

Becker-Big Lake was helped by John Messman, who racked up one goal. Messman scored 12:58 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson. Nick Stalpes provided the assist. Becker-Big Lake also got points from Zach Veau, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Taylor Giving also scored for Becker-Big Lake. Other players who recorded assists for Becker-Big Lake were Brandon Christianson, who had two.

Tanner Baxley made 35 saves for Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson on 39 shots. The Mustangs incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Ben Manzke recorded 36 saves for the Eagles. Becker-Big Lake incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
