The Minnehaha Academy Red Hawks could not stop the St. Paul Academy/Mounds Park Acad Spartans' Jared Mickelson, who tallied a hat trick in a 5-2 win.

Mickelson notched his first tally 6:07 into the first period. He then added goals at 3:40 into the third and at 7:06 into the third.

Minnehaha Academy was unable to stop St. Paul Academy/Mounds Park Acad from sending pucks towards the net, and the Spartans eventually piled up 48 shots on goal. St. Paul Academy/Mounds Park Acad took advantage of the Red Hawks' penalties, tallying two goals off of three power play opportunities.

St. Paul Academy/Mounds Park Acad additionally got points from Mick Sullivan, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Jake Westfield, who also finished with one goal and one assist.
