Nate Krueger had one goal and two assists to lead the Mankato West Scarlets to a 6-2 victory over the Mankato East/Loyola Cougars.

Krueger scored 16:47 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Mankato West. Cole Filler picked up the assist. Krueger dished an assist on Tyler Loe's goal that made the score 1-0 Mankato West at 15:30 into the first period. He added another helper on Brennon Soucek's goal that made the score 4-0 Mankato West at 2:09 into the second period.

Mankato West kept Mankato East/Loyola's goalie busy throughout the game, and Aaron Kroeber made 34 saves on 40 shots.

Mankato West also got points from Filler, who also finished with two goals and one assist and Loe, who also registered one goal and two assists. Galt Goettl also scored for Mankato West. Other players who recorded assists for Mankato West were Tyler Jutting, Scott McKissick, and Ryan Lindquist, who each chipped in one.

The Cougars were helped by Carter Johnson, who registered one goal and one assist. Johnson scored 42 seconds into the third period to make the score 5-1 Mankato West. Shane Sellner provided the assist. Mankato East/Loyola additionally got points from Sellner, who also racked up one goal and one assist. In addition, Mankato East/Loyola received assists from Brent Adams, who had one.

Conor Wollenzien rejected 13 shots on goal for the Scarlets. Mankato West incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Mankato East/Loyola incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
