Austin DeBoer lifted the La Crescent Lancers to a 12-0 victory with a hat trick against Sparta, WI.

DeBoer notched his first tally 2:43 into the first period. He then added goals at 10:42 into the third and at 14:28 into the third.

La Crescent scored early and often, and held a 4-0 advantage after the first 20 minutes of play.

Levi Thesing spearheaded the defensive effort for the Lancers, as he did not allow a puck past him and made 30 saves for the shutout. Thesing certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 5.04 entering the contest.

La Crescent forced Sparta, WI goalie Trenton Thompson to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. The Lancers bested their season scoring average. La Crescent averages 3.7 goals per game.

La Crescent also got points from Noah Salow, who also tallied two goals and one assist, Zack Hanno, who also finished with four goals and three assists to lead the team in points, and Jevin Dorscher, who also racked up one goal and two assists. La Crescent also got a goal from Justin Paul as well. More assists for La Crescent came via Laudon Poellinger, who had two, Kyle Colsch, who had four, and Nick Moser, Nathan Boma, and Jason Witt, who each chipped in one.

The Lancers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Sparta, WI's Thompson stopped 28 shots out of the 40 that he faced. Sparta, WI incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
