Junior Bruins uses shootout to best Philadelphia Revolution, 5-4 (2-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Junior Bruins defeated Philadelphia Revolution in a shootout 5-4 (2-0 SO).

The two teams needed six turns to complete the shootout. Junior Bruins' other shootout goal was scored by Michael Centerbar.

Junior Bruins came back from a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. Junior Bruins was down 4-1 after a goal by Philadelphia Revolution's Ian Turner at 14:53 in the second period. Junior Bruins knotted things up at 4-4 on a goal by Corey Deres at 23:03 in the second period.

Deres had two goals to lead Junior Bruins to victory.

Junior Bruins put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Philadelphia Revolution to score on any of its nine power plays. Junior Bruins forced Philadelphia Revolution goalie Troy Klahre to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

Ryan Azar also scored for Junior Bruins.

Philadelphia Revolution was helped by Dylan Pearl, who tallied one goal. Pearl scored 16:59 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Philadelphia Revolution. Connor provided the assist. Philadelphia Revolution also got a goal from England as well. More assists for Philadelphia Revolution came via Andrew Bily and Corey Lasko, who each chipped in one.

Junior Bruins incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors. Troy Klahre made 31 saves for Philadelphia Revolution on 35 shots. Philadelphia Revolution incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
