Kasprowicz's hat trick boosts Kittson Central over Park Rapids, 8-2

A hat trick by Nick Kasprowicz was the highlight in Wolfpack's 8-2 win against the Park Rapids Panthers.

Kasprowicz notched his first tally 4:27 into the first period. He then added goals at 15:53 into the second and at 15:42 into the third.

The Kittson Central Wolfpack put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Park Rapids to score on any of its five power plays. Kittson Central kept the Panthers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Cody Brumbaugh made 36 saves on 44 shots. The Wolfpack's goal total was higher than their season average. Kittson Central averages 4.7 goals per game.

Kittson Central also got points from Dalton Klegstad, who also registered two goals and one assist. Alex Strege also scored for Kittson Central. In addition, Kittson Central received assists from Tyler Cosley, who had two, Kyle Petersburg, who had three, and Joey Pastir and Jordan Rynning, who contributed one a piece.

Park Rapids excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

The Panthers were helped by Noah Macpherson, who had one goal. Macpherson scored 13:33 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Kittson Central. Connor Kennedy picked up the assist. Park Rapids also got a goal from Ian Johnson as well. Other players who recorded assists for Park Rapids were Jeff Jacobson, who had one.

Tucker Cosley recorded 19 saves for the Wolfpack. Kittson Central incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Park Rapids incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
