Marshall School Duluth downs Hibbing / Chisholm in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Marshall School Duluth Hilltoppers pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 29 penalty minutes.

Marshall School Duluth kept the Hibbing / Chisholm Bluejackets' goalie busy throughout the game, and Tyler Carlson made 41 saves on 44 shots.

The Hilltoppers were helped by Luke Pavelich, who tallied one goal. Pavelich scored 3:29 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Marshall School Duluth. Jordon Fralich provided the assist. Marshall School Duluth also got a goal from Kyle McKinzie as well. In addition, Marshall School Duluth received assists from Jeremy Lopez and Cam McClure, who contributed one a piece.

Hibbing / Chisholm put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Marshall School Duluth to score on any of its three power plays. By firing 36 shots on goal, the Bluejackets exceeded the 2.3 shots they average per game this year.

Hibbing / Chisholm was helped by Billy Wherland, who grabbed one goal. Wherland scored on the power play 3:39 into the first period to make the score 1-1. The Bluejackets had gained a power play chance when Connor Flaherty was whistled for hooking. Adam Johnson picked up the assist. Hibbing / Chisholm additionally got points from Derek Abrahamson, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Hibbing / Chisholm were Ty Birdsall, who had one.

Caden Flaherty rejected 34 shots on goal for the Hilltoppers. Hibbing / Chisholm incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
