Bestul's hat trick boosts Hibbing / Chisholm over Greenway, 9-0

A hat trick by Josh Bestul was the highlight in Bluejackets' 9-0 win against the Greenway Raiders.

Bestul's first goal came 32 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 58 seconds into the first and at 16:28 into the second.

The Hibbing / Chisholm Bluejackets stifled Greenway's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Hibbing / Chisholm outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, the Bluejackets average 3.1 goals per contest. Hibbing / Chisholm put 41 shots on net during the contest, more than the 0.7 it averages per game.

Hibbing / Chisholm additionally got points from Ty Birdsall, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Adam Johnson, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Billy Wherland, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Colten Perkins, who also registered two goals and one assist. Eric Gooden also scored for Hibbing / Chisholm. In addition, Hibbing / Chisholm received assists from Eric Riihinen, who had two, Cole Schafer, who had three, and Derek Abrahamson and Dylan Carlson, who contributed one a piece.

The Raiders could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Greenway averages 3.5 goals per game.

The Bluejackets took out AJ Allison after he had made 11 saves and installed Tyler Carlson in goal, where he finished with four saves and the win. Hibbing / Chisholm totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. Mike LaDoux took the loss and made nine saves before being replaced by Sam LaDoux who made 23 saves. The Raiders incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
