Rochester Century survives Faribault comeback, wins 4-2

The Faribault Falcons tried their best to erase a four-goal deficit, but the Rochester Century Panthers would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-2.

Rochester Century made the score 4-0 on a goal by Alex Ney at 2:46 in the third period, and Faribault got as close as 4-2 when Issiah Brogden scored 10:50 into the third period.

The Panthers got the win thanks to a great game by Dalton Travis, who had one goal and three assists. Travis scored on the power play 19 seconds into the third period to make the score 3-0 Rochester Century. Matthew Sturchio provided the assist.

Rochester Century found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Panthers average 1.5 goal per game. The Falcons' defense shut down Rochester Century's forwards for much of the game, and the Panthers got off only eight shots during the contest.

Rochester Century additionally got points from Jacob Roth, who also grabbed one goal and two assists and Hayden Ashworth, who also finished with one goal and one assist.

Faribault found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere seven shots against Rochester Century's defense.

Faribault also got a goal from Daniel Pierce as well.

Eric Rohleder made five saves for the Panthers on seven shots. Rochester Century incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Cody Morsching rejected four shots on goal for the Falcons. Faribault totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
