Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter uses big second period to beat Fairmont, 7-0

The Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter Bulldogs scored three goals in the second period to pull away from the Fairmont Cardinals and clinch a 7-0 win.

Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter was led by Austin Braun, who tallied one goal and one assist. Braun scored 8:54 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter.

Fairmont was unable to stop the Bulldogs from sending pucks towards the net, and Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter eventually piled up 45 shots on goal.

Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter also got points from Brett Zallek, who also finished with two goals and one assist, Luke Regner, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Sam Wenner, who also registered two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter also got a goal from Brock Solomon as well. More assists for Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter came via Ryan Hoehn, who had two and Levi Steuck, Jon Favre, and Nate Douglas, who each chipped in one.

The Cardinals did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 10 shots on net to force 10 saves.

Chris Amsden rejected 10 shots on goal for the Bulldogs. Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Derrick Hohensee recorded 38 saves for Fairmont. The Cardinals incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
