The New Ulm Eagles had a nine-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 11-1 win over the Fairmont Cardinals.

New Ulm managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Eagles wound up below its season average of 9.0 penalty minutes per game. New Ulm forced Fairmont goalie Colton Cunning to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots. The Eagles outdid their season average for goals scored. New Ulm averages 4.1 goals per game.

The Eagles were led by Lucas Heiderscheidt, who finished with one goal and five assists. Heiderscheidt scored 16:33 into the second period to make the score 9-0 New Ulm. Wyatt Peterson provided the assist.
