Fairmont falls apart in second, loses to Becker-Big Lake, 7-1Le Sueur Community Center Thu, Jan 03, 2013 The Becker-Big Lake Eagles used a four-goal second period to put away the Fairmont Cardinals, 7-1. Becker-Big Lake was paced by Tristan Gust, who tallied one goal and one assist. Gust scored 15:35 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Becker-Big Lake. Nick Stalpes picked up the assist. The Eagles excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Fairmont was unable to stop Becker-Big Lake from sending pucks towards the net, and the Eagles eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. Becker-Big Lake outdid its season average for goals scored.
