The Duluth Denfeld Hunters survived a determined comeback attempt by the Duluth East Greyhounds on the way to a 5-4 win.

A goal by Alex Thomspon put Duluth Denfeld up 5-2 in the third period, but Duluth East pulled to within one on Meirs Moore's tally 15:20 into the third period.

With 19 shots on target during the contest, the Hunters exceeded the 0.1 shots they average per game this year.

Duluth Denfeld also got a goal from Alex Larson as well. More assists for Duluth Denfeld came via Patrick Potswald, who had one.

The Greyhounds' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Duluth Denfeld power plays. Duluth East's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. The Greyhounds are averaging 2.0 goals against for the season. Duluth East's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. The Greyhounds put 56 shots on net during the contest, more than the 4.0 they average per game.

Duluth East was led by Jack Forbort, who racked up one goal and two assists. Forbort scored 1:22 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Ryan Lundgren picked up the assist. Duluth East additionally got points from Moore, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Joey Marinac also scored for Duluth East. Zach Thompson rejected 52 shots on goal for Duluth Denfeld. The Hunters incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Greyhounds' Dylan Parker stopped 14 shots out of the 19 that he faced. Duluth East incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
