Duluth East rolls over Cambridge/Isanti, 11-1Duluth Heritage Sports Arena Tue, Nov 27, 2012 The Cambridge/Isanti Bluejackets had trouble finding ways to stop the Duluth East Greyhounds, which beat Bluejackets, 11-1. Hogan Davidson was all over the ice for Duluth East, as he registered two goals in the win. Davidson found the back of the net 14:25 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Duluth East and again while short handed 12:29 into the second to make the score 5-0 Duluth East. The Greyhounds stifled Cambridge/Isanti's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Bluejackets were unable to stop Duluth East from sending pucks towards the net, and the Greyhounds eventually piled up 57 shots on goal. The defensemen of Duluth East were also effective in Cambridge/Isanti's zone, and came away with five goals. Duluth East also got points from Alex Trapp, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Kyle Chartier, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Meirs Moore, who also had two goals and one assist, Cody Packingham, who also registered one goal and one assist, Wyatt Irwin, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Alex Toscano, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Phil Beaulieu, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Joey Marinac also scored for Duluth East. In addition, Duluth East received assists from Beau Hughes, who had two, Jack Forbort, who had four, and Nick Altman, Jack Kolar, and Justin Smith, who contributed one a piece. The Bluejackets did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting seven shots on net to force six saves. Dylan Parker made six saves for the Greyhounds on seven shots. Duluth East incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Cambridge/Isanti's Frank Maslow stopped 46 shots out of the 57 that he faced. The Bluejackets incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
