Fritz lifts St. Cloud Cathedral over Delano/Rockford, 3-0Delano Sports Arena Thu, Dec 13, 2012 The St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders relied on the scoring touch of Mitchell Fritz, who netted two goals, to beat the Delano/Rockford Tigers, 3-0. Fritz scored at 28 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Cloud Cathedral and again while short handed 10:53 into the first to make the score 2-0 St. Cloud Cathedral.St. Cloud Cathedral's defensive play was more effective than usual against Delano/Rockford. The Crusaders average 2.7 goals allowed per game. The Tigers were unable to stop St. Cloud Cathedral from sending pucks towards the net, and the Crusaders eventually piled up 35 shots on goal. The defensemen of St. Cloud Cathedral were also effective in Delano/Rockford's zone, and came away with two goals. Beau Gerding also scored for St. Cloud Cathedral. In addition, St. Cloud Cathedral received assists from Austin Poganski, Will Hammer, Austin Swingle, and Tommy Hall, who contributed one a piece.
