Early goals doom Rogers, falls to Breck School, 7-2Breck School Anderson Arena Tue, Dec 11, 2012 The Breck School Mustangs jumped out to a four-point advantage by the end of the first period and beat the Rogers Royals, 7-2. Breck School got the win on the strength of a great game by Matt Colford, who had two goals and three assists. Colford scored the first of his two goals at 13 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Breck School. Jack O''Connor assisted on the tally. Colford's next tally made the score 6-1 Breck School with 19:04 left in the third period. Dylon Eggert provided the assist. The Mustangs' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Rogers power plays. Breck School kept Rogers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Blake Ternus made 63 saves on 70 shots. The Mustangs' goal total was higher than their season average. Breck School has scored at the pace of 4.2 goals per game during the current campaign. Breck School additionally got points from O''Connor, who also had two goals and two assists. Breck School also had goals scored by Michael Orke, who had one and Mark Sharp, who had two.
