Huge game by Lyman boosts Blake School over Minnehaha Academy, 9-2Blake School Ice Arena Sat, Feb 02, 2013 The Blake School Bears' Mark Lyman had a big offensive game, scoring four goals and contributing one assist in his team's 9-2 win over the Minnehaha Academy Red Hawks. Lyman's first goal came 12:03 into the first period. He then added goals at 15:02 into the first, at 9:06 into the second, and at 12:07 into the third.Blake School stifled Minnehaha Academy's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Bears' offense rang up 52 shots on the Red Hawks' net. Blake School bested its season scoring average. This season, the Bears average 3.2 goals per contest. Blake School also got points from Cade Gleekel, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Christopher Chute, who also tallied one goal and two assists, and Johnny Ferguson, who also finished with two goals and one assist. Blake School also got a goal from Nick Hughes as well. Other players who recorded assists for Blake School were Crey Banks, Thomas Blease, Edmund Chute, Sam Chute, Preston Wallin, and Peter Hildreth, who each chipped in one. Minnehaha Academy excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Red Hawks were helped by Andre LaRenzie, who grabbed one goal and one assist. LaRenzie scored short handed 15:46 into the second period to make the score 6-2 Blake School. A holding call on Ryan Leo put Minnehaha Academy on the penalty kill. Ryan Evenson picked up the assist. Minnehaha Academy additionally got points from Evenson, who also registered one goal and one assist. More assists for Minnehaha Academy came via Max Hobrough, who had one. Jackson Norris rejected 28 shots on goal for Blake School. The Bears incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Red Hawks' Matt Sawyer stopped 43 shots out of the 52 that he faced.
