Faribault was stymied by Austin netminder Rainer Londino-Green, who stopped 29 shots during the victory. Londino-Green managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 4.17 prior to the game.

The Packers were sparked by Munger, who registered one goal.

Austin also got points from Dan Larson, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Austin came via Cole Nicol and Marcus Stoulil, who contributed one a piece.

The Falcons' offense operated below they season average. Faribault averages 3.1 goals per game.

The Falcons were led by Daniel Pierce, who scored the team's only goal. Pierce scored short handed 2:02 into the third period to make the score 1-1.
