Harris Montayne tallied one point to lead Islanders to a 4-0 victory over the Palm Beach Hawks.

Islanders excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Islanders kept Palm Beach's goalie busy throughout the game, and Adam Silverstein made 37 saves on 41 shots.

Islanders also had goals scored by Justin Fisher, who had one and Keith Barnaby, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Islanders were Jonathan Pate, who had two and Christopher Maksut, Nicholas McNally, Alfonso Diaz, and Thomas Missert, who each chipped in one.

The Hawks could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Palm Beach averages 3.1 goals per game.

Andrew McLeman recorded 16 saves for Islanders. Islanders incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Islanders ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and RJ Tiorano was ejected from the game. The Hawks incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
