Tanner Duffney racked up two points to lead the Alexandria Blizzard to a 5-2 victory over the Michigan Mountain Cats.

Alexandria excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Michigan was unable to stop the Blizzard from sending pucks towards the net, and Alexandria eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.

Alexandria also got a goal from Austin Rudnick as well. In addition, Alexandria received assists from Ricky Seidel, who had two and Bryce Mitzel, Garrett Skinner, and Spencer Peratalo, who contributed one a piece.

The Mountain Cats were helped by Marshall Helton, who had one goal. Helton scored 6:43 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Alexandria. Guy Soulliere provided the assist. Austin Sartorius also scored for Michigan. More assists for Michigan came via Kade Morrison, Christopher Williams, and Bryan Davis, who each chipped in one.

The Blizzard's Dom DeGuisseppi stopped 26 shots out of the 28 that he faced. Alexandria incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Dominic Juncaj rejected 35 shots on goal for Michigan. The Mountain Cats incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
