G L Lightning was within striking distance after one period, but Bloomington Blaze put the pedal down in the second en route to a 13-3 victory.

Patrick Anaruk picked up the assist. Donley's next tally made the score 3-1 Bloomington Blaze with 18:01 left in the second period. Joseph Clemente provided the assist.

Kyler Schmor also scored for Bloomington Blaze. In addition, Bloomington Blaze received assists from Edgars Ozolinsh, who had four, Steven Smoltz, who had six, and Kyle Kabacinski and Luis Lopez, who contributed one a piece.

G L Lightning was helped by Jacob Bradley, who finished with one goal. Bradley scored 3:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 G L Lightning. G L Lightning also got a goal from Eric Roche as well. More assists for G L Lightning came via Anthony Fiore, who had two and Austin Postek and Garrett Avery, who each chipped in one.
