Huge game by Daavettila boosts Hartland Hounds over G L Lightning, 14-0Hartland Rink 1 Fri, Feb 01, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Hartland Hounds' Gabe Daavettila had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing five assists in his team's 14-0 win over G L Lightning. Daavettila found the back of the net 11:00 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Hartland Hounds and again while 20 seconds into the second to make the score 4-0 Hartland Hounds.Hartland Hounds pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 19 penalty minutes. Hartland Hounds made G L Lightning's goalies to work all game long, totaling 79 shots and forcing 65 saves. Garrett Avery made 44 stops and Colin Walsh made 21. Hartland Hounds stifled G L Lightning's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Hartland Hounds outdid its season average for goals scored. Hartland Hounds averages 6.1 goals per game. The defensemen of Hartland Hounds were also effective in G L Lightning's zone, and came away with two goals.
