Tennyson Chevrolet rips Bloomington Blaze, 9-0

Tennyson Chevrolet had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 9-0 win over Bloomington Blaze.

Tennyson Chevrolet got the win with help from a great game by Kenneth Winter, who had one goal and three assists. Winter scored 12:50 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Tennyson Chevrolet. Jonathan Hultgren assisted on the tally.

Tennyson Chevrolet's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Bloomington Blaze power plays. Bloomington Blaze was unable to stop Tennyson Chevrolet from sending pucks towards the net, and Tennyson Chevrolet eventually piled up 53 shots on goal. Tennyson Chevrolet outdid its season average for goals scored. Tennyson Chevrolet has scored at the pace of 5.0 goals per game during the current campaign.

Tennyson Chevrolet additionally got points from Robert Danyo, who also registered one goal and one assist, Jeffrey Kuhary, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Matthew Hopersberger, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Hultgren, who also had three goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Zachary Chapman also scored for Tennyson Chevrolet. In addition, Tennyson Chevrolet received assists from Anthony Davey, who had two, Ryan Brown, who had three, Ryan Krolikowski, who had four, and Jason Pischke and Thomas Emery, who each chipped in one.

Bloomington Blaze forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up seven minors and three majors for 59 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 22.0 minutes per game Bloomington Blaze had been spending in the box. Bloomington Blaze could not produce up to it normal offensive output. William Rohleder made 44 saves for Bloomington Blaze on 53 shots. Bloomington Blaze ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Matt Donley was ejected from the game.
