Brandt Miller netted a hat trick to lead Soo Firehawks over NWO Grrrowl, 8-3.

Miller notched his first tally 5:16 into the second period. He then added goals at 6:08 into the third and at 16:15 into the third.

The Soo Firehawks penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled eight minors and one major for 51 minutes in penalty time. Soo Firehawks surpassed its season average of 27.0 penalty minutes per game. Soo Firehawks made NWO Grrrowl's goaltenders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, taking 52 shots and forcing 44 saves. Chris Lewis made 36 stops and Vincent Ryckman made eight.
