Soo Firehawks almost clawed its way back from a four-goal deficit, but Hartland Hounds managed to pull out a 5-3 win in the end. Hartland Hounds led by four goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Hartland Hounds' Brad Savard's scored at 5:38 in the second period to put Hartland Hounds up 4-0. Soo Firehawks was unable to stop Hartland Hounds from sending pucks towards the net, and Hartland Hounds eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. Hartland Hounds was helped by Alexander Grizzel, who racked up two goals. Grizzel scored the first of his two goals at 16:08 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Hartland Hounds.
