Soo Firehawks pulled out a 5-4 (OT) overtime victory over Bloomington Blaze on a clutch goal by Kevin Killips.

Soo Firehawks was led by Killips, who tallied one goal. Killips scored 2:34 into overtime to make the score 5-4 Soo Firehawks. Alexander Drulia provided the assist.

In the losing effort, Bloomington Blaze was sparked by Steven Smoltz, who grabbed two goals. Smoltz scored the first of his two goals at 14:38 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Soo Firehawks. Kyler Schmor picked up the assist.
