Holland River Bandits holds on for 5-4 win against Great Lakes Lightning

Great Lakes Lightning tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but Holland River Bandits would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-4.

Holland River Bandits took a 5-3 lead during the third period, only to have Great Lakes Lightning storm back on a Andrew Defauw goal 19:56 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

With three goals and two assists between them, Alexander Devries and Abram Prince teamed up to power Holland River Bandits' offense. Devries finished with two goals and Prince also added one goal and two assists.

Holland River Bandits kept Great Lakes Lightning's goalie busy throughout the game, and Zach Boes made 36 saves on 41 shots.

Holland River Bandits additionally got points from Alexander Carson, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Tyler Teglia, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Prince, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Holland River Bandits were Trevor McCoy and Cory Bussing, who each chipped in one.
