Michigan Ice Dogs gutted out a close 6-4 win against NWO Grrrowl.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Adam Pinkowski secured the win for Michigan Ice Dogs with a goal in the third period.

Hunter Ledgerwood had a great game for Michigan Ice Dogs, netting two goals. Ledgerwood scored at 56 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Michigan Ice Dogs and again while 11:29 into the third to make the score 4-3 NWO Grrrowl.

Michigan Ice Dogs excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Michigan Ice Dogs' offense rang up 41 shots on NWO Grrrowl's net. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Michigan Ice Dogs also got points from James Subu, who also registered one goal and one assist and Alexander Stewart, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Michigan Ice Dogs also got a goal from Ashton Guy as well. Other players who recorded assists for Michigan Ice Dogs were Joshua Arnold, who had two and Robert Speer, Cody Brent, and Mark Rotondo, who contributed one a piece.

NWO Grrrowl kept Michigan Ice Dogs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Colton Lewicki made 34 saves on 38 shots.

NWO Grrrowl was helped by Ryan Santo, who racked up one goal and two assists. Santo scored 9:13 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Hazen Ripple assisted on the tally. NWO Grrrowl additionally got points from Ripple, who also had one goal and two assists and Michael Munoz, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Dalton Gertsen also scored for NWO Grrrowl.
