Michigan Ice Dogs survives NWO Grrrowl comeback, wins 6-4

Michigan Ice Dogs survived a determined comeback attempt by NWO Grrrowl on the way to a 6-4 win.

Michigan Ice Dogs made the score 6-1 on a goal by Robert Speer at 5:15 in the third period, and NWO Grrrowl got as close as 6-4 when Ryan Santo scored 16:37 into the third period.

Joshua Arnold had one goal and two assists to lead Michigan Ice Dogs. Arnold scored 9:24 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Tyler Textor provided the assist.

Michigan Ice Dogs forced NWO Grrrowl's goalies to work all game long, launching 45 shots and forcing 39 saves. Chris Lewis made 19 stops and Vincent Ryckman made 20. Michigan Ice Dogs found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Michigan Ice Dogs has scored at the pace of 3.9 goals per game during the current campaign.

Michigan Ice Dogs additionally got points from Arron Podbielniak, who also registered one goal and one assist. Corey Suba also scored for Michigan Ice Dogs.
