Hartland Hounds rolls over Great Lakes Lightning, 8-1Fraser - Monster Fri, Nov 16, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
Hartland Hounds had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 8-1 win over Great Lakes Lightning. Hartland Hounds got the win with help from a great game by Jacob Henrikson, who had two goals and one assist. Henrikson scored the first of his two goals at 2:16 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Hartland Hounds. Ethan Doyle provided the assist. Henrikson's next tally made the score 5-1 Hartland Hounds with 1:14 left in the second period. Garrett Cebalt assisted on the tally. Great Lakes Lightning's power play was ineffective against Hartland Hounds' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. Hartland Hounds made Great Lakes Lightning's netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, totaling 46 shots and forcing 38 saves. Colin Walsh made 17 stops and Zach Boes made 21. Hartland Hounds' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Great Lakes Lightning power plays. Hartland Hounds also got points from Doyle, who also registered one goal and one assist and Paul Krystyniak, who also had two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Hartland Hounds also had goals scored by Tyler Thirlby, who had one and Cameron Miglia, who had two. In addition, Hartland Hounds received assists from Andre Spisak, Bobby Schumacher, Nikolay Bakanov, Derek Kalisz, Seth Gruenberg, and Colin Longeway, who contributed one a piece. Great Lakes Lightning also got a goal from Andrew Defauw as well. Other players who recorded assists for Great Lakes Lightning were Richard Dawson and Jacob Bradley, who each chipped in one. Hartland Hounds took out Myles Grix after he had made 16 saves and installed Longeway in goal, where he finished with 13 saves and the win. Hartland Hounds totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play. Great Lakes Lightning ended with 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major.
