A stellar performance between the pipes by Brian Ellis helped Tennyson Chevrolet defeat Great Lakes Lightning, 7-1. Great Lakes Lightning's power play was ineffective against Tennyson Chevrolet's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. Tennyson Chevrolet was sparked by James Smith, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Smith scored 3:44 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Tennyson Chevrolet. Tennyson Chevrolet was relatively well disciplined in the game, receiving only eight minors and one major for 31 minutes in penalty time.
