Michigan Ice Dogs shrugs off penalties, upends Great Lakes Lightning, 5-2

Great Lakes Lightning failed to take advantage of its power play opportunities and Michigan Ice Dogs shook off a number of penalties to win, 5-2.

Michigan Ice Dogs was led by Corey Suba, who tallied one goal. Suba scored 8:50 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Michigan Ice Dogs. Hunter Ledgerwood assisted on the tally.

Michigan Ice Dogs racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with seven minors and two majors for 74 minutes in penalty time. Michigan Ice Dogs surpassed its season average of 33.0 penalty minutes per game. Michigan Ice Dogs' offense rang up 35 shots on Great Lakes Lightning's net.
