Hartland Hounds penalty kill dominates in 3-0 defeat of Bloomington Blaze

Bloomington Blaze failed to take advantage of its power play opportunities and Hartland Hounds shook off a number of penalties to win, 3-0.

Hartland Hounds was sparked by Zachary Bodziak, who had one goal. Bodziak scored 4:22 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Hartland Hounds. Jacob Henrikson provided the assist.

The Hartland Hounds penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled 10 minors and two majors for 40 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 31.0 minutes per game Hartland Hounds had been spending in the box. Hartland Hounds excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in nine chances. Hartland Hounds' offense operated below it season average. Hartland Hounds averages 6.6 goals per game. Hartland Hounds featured an improved defense during the game.
