Dayton Aeros completes comeback, beats NWO Grrrowl, 4-3

Dayton Aeros climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat NWO Grrrowl, 4-3.

Dayton Aeros never led in the game until netting the game winner. Dayton Aeros fell behind 3-1 after a power play goal by NWO Grrrowl's Benjamin Henry at 6:07 in the second period. Dayton Aeros tied things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by Ryan Santo at 16:11 in the second period. Dayton Aeros scored the game winner at 8:52 in the third period on a goal by Santo.

Santo had a great game for Dayton Aeros, netting four goals. Santo got on the scoresheet 19:57 into the first period. He then added goals at 12:37 into the second.

Dayton Aeros forced NWO Grrrowl's goaltenders to work without much rest, totaling 46 shots and forcing 42 saves. Andrew Zuckerman made nine stops and Garrett Avery made 33. Team could not crack NWO Grrrowl's penalty kill and was held to two power play goals while having nine opportunities to play with the man advantage.

More assists for Dayton Aeros came via Hazen Ripple, who had three and John Cahill and Cody Staub, who each chipped in one.

NWO Grrrowl kept Dayton Aeros' goalie busy throughout the game, and Vincent Ryckman made 42 saves on 45 shots.

NWO Grrrowl also got a goal from Jason Henry as well. Other players who recorded assists for NWO Grrrowl were Kameron Cunningham, who had one.

Dayton Aeros ended with 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. NWO Grrrowl totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with nine minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play.
