Great Lakes Lightning survives Tennyson Chevrolet comeback, wins 4-3Allen Park C.A. Wed, Jan 09, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Tennyson Chevrolet tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but Great Lakes Lightning held on for a 4-3 victory. Great Lakes Lightning made the score 4-2 on a goal by Andrew Shalawylo at 8:10 in the third period, and Tennyson Chevrolet got as close as 4-3 when Zachary Wiacek scored 12:42 into the third period. Colton James was all over the ice for Great Lakes Lightning, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. James scored the first of his two goals at 5:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Great Lakes Lightning. Austin Postek assisted on the tally. James' next tally made the score 3-2 Great Lakes Lightning with 10 seconds left in the second period. Great Lakes Lightning's offense was handcuffed by Tennyson Chevrolet's defensive play, and Great Lakes Lightning managed only 11 shots on goal during the game. Great Lakes Lightning additionally got points from Jacob Bradley, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Shalawylo, who also had one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Great Lakes Lightning were Anthony Fiore, who had one. Great Lakes Lightning was unable to stop Tennyson Chevrolet from sending pucks towards the net, and Tennyson Chevrolet eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Tennyson Chevrolet was led by Jonathan Hultgren, who racked up one goal and one assist. Hultgren scored 14:31 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Great Lakes Lightning. Thomas Emery picked up the assist. Zachary Chapman also scored for Tennyson Chevrolet.
