Tennyson Chevrolet rips Dayton Aeros, 11-3

Tennyson Chevrolet had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 11-3 win over Dayton Aeros.

Jonathan Hultgren had two goals and one assist to lead Tennyson Chevrolet. Hultgren scored the first of his two goals at 2:48 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Tennyson Chevrolet. Ryan Brown picked up the assist. Hultgren's next tally made the score 10-2 Tennyson Chevrolet with 4:46 left in the third period. Kenneth Winter provided the assist.

Tennyson Chevrolet's penalty kill excelled, as Tennyson Chevrolet gave up one goal despite allowing nine power plays.

Tennyson Chevrolet forced Dayton Aeros' netminders to work all game long, totaling 53 shots and forcing 42 saves. Vincent Ryckman made 27 stops and Chris Lewis made 15. Tennyson Chevrolet's goal total was higher than its season average. This season, Tennyson Chevrolet averages 6.8 goals per contest.

Tennyson Chevrolet also got points from Zachary Wiacek, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Brown, who also tallied three goals and two assists to lead the team in points, Keaton Lang, who also had one goal and one assist, and Zachary Chapman, who also registered one goal and three assists. James Smith also scored for Tennyson Chevrolet. Other players who recorded assists for Tennyson Chevrolet were Kyle McKibbin, who had two and Robert Danyo, Chad Cobb, and Cal Jesko, who contributed one a piece.

Dayton Aeros was helped by Ryan Santo, who racked up one goal and one assist. Santo scored 16:19 into the third period to make the score 10-3 Tennyson Chevrolet. Wesley Brand assisted on the tally. Dayton Aeros also got a goal from Tyler Kates as well. More assists for Dayton Aeros came via Julian Willbey, who had one and Cody Staub, who had two.

Christopher Boyd made 10 saves before being replaced by Brian Ellis, who took the win and made nine saves. Tennyson Chevrolet incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors. Dayton Aeros incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
