Cameron Miglia was all over the ice for Hartland Hounds, as he tallied two goals and three assists in Hartland Hounds' 9-1 win over Great Lakes Lightning. Miglia found the back of the net on the power play 18:09 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Hartland Hounds and again while 18 seconds into the second to make the score 4-0 Hartland Hounds.Hartland Hounds' penalty kill excelled, as Hartland Hounds gave up zero goals despite allowing eight power plays. Hartland Hounds made Great Lakes Lightning's goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, racking up 62 shots and forcing 53 saves. Colin Walsh made 13 stops and Jeff LaBaere made 17. Hartland Hounds stifled Great Lakes Lightning's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Hartland Hounds was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 29 penalty minutes. Hartland Hounds also got points from Thomas Kerr, who also had one goal and one assist, Jared Vincek, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Jacob Henrikson, who also registered two goals and two assists. Hartland Hounds also got a goal from Andre Spisak as well. More assists for Hartland Hounds came via Derek Kalisz, who had two and Bobby Schumacher, Scott Augustyn, and Matthew Passino, who contributed one a piece. Hartland Hounds' defense shut down Great Lakes Lightning's forwards for much of the game, and Great Lakes Lightning got off only 10 shots during the contest. Great Lakes Lightning's penalty kill unit could not stop Hartland Hounds' power play, which converted on two of three opportunities. Myles Grix made nine saves for Hartland Hounds on 10 shots. Great Lakes Lightning incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
