Hartland Hounds survives Dayton Aeros comeback, wins 4-2

Dayton Aeros tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but Hartland Hounds would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-2.

Hartland Hounds took a 4-1 lead during the third period, only to have Dayton Aeros storm back on a Cody Olsen goal 17:19 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

Hartland Hounds was paced by Jacob Henrikson, who grabbed one goal. Henrikson scored 19:55 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Hartland Hounds. Cameron Miglia assisted on the tally.

Hartland Hounds' offense rang up 53 shots on Dayton Aeros' net.

Hartland Hounds additionally got points from Jared Vincek, who also had one goal and one assist and Miglia, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Hartland Hounds also got a goal from Thomas Kerr as well. In addition, Hartland Hounds received assists from Derek Kalisz, Paul Krystyniak, and Garrett Cebalt, who each chipped in one.

Dayton Aeros forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up 11 minors and one major for 37 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 21.0 minutes per game Dayton Aeros had been spending in the box.
