A four-goal first period deficit cost Las Vegas Storm (mm), which could not recover and fell to St Louis AAA Blues (mm), 8-1.

St Louis AAA Blues (mm) was sparked by Matthew Tkachuk, who racked up one goal and one assist. Tkachuk scored on the power play 6:58 into the first period to make the score 2-0 St Louis AAA Blues (mm). A high sticking penalty on Reily Mcintosh had put St Louis AAA Blues (mm) on the power play. Thomas Kolaz provided the assist.
