Victory Honda (mm) squeaks by Chicago Fury (mm), 4-2

Victory Honda (mm) and Chicago Fury (mm) were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Victory Honda (mm) made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-2.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Matthew Taliaferro at 8:00 of the second period.

NATHAN BRYER was all over the ice for Victory Honda (mm), as he racked up two goals in the win. BRYER's tallies came on the power play at 15:20 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Victory Honda (mm) and 16:30 into the third to make the score 4-2 Victory Honda (mm).

Chicago Fury (mm) was unable to stop Victory Honda (mm) from sending pucks towards the net, and Victory Honda (mm) eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

Victory Honda (mm) also got a goal from CAMERON DYDE as well. Other players who recorded assists for Victory Honda (mm) were JOE SOFO, who had two and TERRY BURNS, GRANT DUKUS, MITCHELL PERRAULT, and AARON ROSCHINSKY, who each chipped in one.

Chicago Fury (mm) could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

Chicago Fury (mm) was helped by Jake Slaker, who registered one goal. Slaker scored on the power play 12:50 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Victory Honda (mm). A roughing penalty on ALEX DERKSEN had put Chicago Fury (mm) on the power play. Kyle Siemers provided the assist. Chicago Fury (mm) also got points from Siemers, who also finished with one goal and one assist. In addition, Chicago Fury (mm) received assists from Tycho Falk, who had one.

COOPER SEEDOTT made 25 saves for Victory Honda (mm) on 27 shots. Victory Honda (mm) incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Matt Jurusik rejected 31 shots on goal for Chicago Fury (mm). Chicago Fury (mm) registered two goals on two power play opportunities.
