Boston Advantage (mm) survives Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) comeback, wins 4-3

Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but Boston Advantage (mm) would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

A goal by Quin Foreman put Boston Advantage (mm) up 4-1 in the second period, but Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) pulled to within one on Nathan Krusko's tally 10:28 into the third period.

Boston Advantage (mm) put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) to score on any of its three power plays.

Thomas Munichiello also scored for Boston Advantage (mm). More assists for Boston Advantage (mm) came via Anthony Wyse, who had two, Erik Udahl, who had three, and Adam Gaudette, Pat Flynn, and Nick Rutigliano, who each chipped in one.

Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) forced Boston Advantage (mm) goalie Richie DOrtenzio to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) was led by Mitch Fossier, who racked up two goals and one assist. Fossier scored the first of his two goals at 1:40 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Connor Wood provided the assist. Fossier's next tally made the score 4-2 Boston Advantage (mm) with 10:03 left in the third period. Krusko assisted on the tally. Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) additionally got points from Krusko, who also registered one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) were Teddy Rotenberger and Logan Orem, who contributed one a piece.

Richie DOrtenzio made 34 saves for Boston Advantage (mm) on 37 shots. Boston Advantage (mm) incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Joseph Cruz rejected 17 shots on goal for Thunder AAA Hockey (mm). Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
