Behind a great game by Brooke Webster, who had two goals, TORONTO defeated BARRIE, 5-2. Webster found the back of the net 9:30 into the second period to make the score 2-1 TORONTO and again while 1:30 into the third to make the score 3-1 TORONTO.TORONTO forced BARRIE goalie Sarah Stephens to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. Breanne Wilson-Bennett also scored for TORONTO. In addition, TORONTO received assists from Audrey Potts, Devon Moir, and MacKenzie MacNeil, who each chipped in one and Jordan McDonell, Rachel Bierbrier, and Victoria Andreakos, who contributed two a piece. BARRIE managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. BARRIE finished below its season average of 9.0 penalty minutes per game. BARRIE's offense was handcuffed by TORONTO's defensive play, and BARRIE managed only 13 shots on goal during the game. BARRIE's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. BARRIE gives up 2.5 goals per game. BARRIE was helped by Courtney Sheedy, who registered two goals. Sheedy scored the first of her two goals at 30 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1. Chelsea Tucker picked up the assist. Sheedy's next tally made the score 3-2 TORONTO with 16:20 left in the third period. Tucker provided the assist. More assists for BARRIE came via Justine Treadwell (C), who had two. Maggie Prince made 11 saves for TORONTO on 13 shots. TORONTO incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Stephens rejected 29 shots on goal for BARRIE.
