OTTAWA and ETOBICOKE skate to 4-4 (OT) tie

Even though OTTAWA's Amanda Titus netted three goals and Katelyn Fournier ccontributed one point, OTTAWA was held to a tie by ETOBICOKE, 4-4 (OT).

OTTAWA managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. OTTAWA finished below its season average of 10.0 penalty minutes per game. ETOBICOKE was unable to stop OTTAWA from sending pucks towards the net, and OTTAWA eventually piled up 45 shots on goal.

In addition, OTTAWA received assists from Samantha Morell, who had two and Meghan Carty, Stacy Galasso, Hannah Driver, and Rebecca Leslie, who contributed one a piece.

ETOBICOKE was helped by Cara Sayles, who tallied two goals. Sayles scored the first of her two goals at 52 seconds into the third period to make the score 3-2 ETOBICOKE. Sayles' next tally made the score 4-3 ETOBICOKE with 12:48 left in the third period. Montana Merante picked up the assist. ETOBICOKE also got points from Nicole Atkinson, who also had one goal and one assist. Nicole Spadotto also scored for ETOBICOKE. Other players who recorded assists for ETOBICOKE were Shannon Whitaker, Julia Szulewska, and Stacy Joe, who each chipped in one.

OTTAWA's Sarah McGall stopped 22 shots out of the 26 that she faced. OTTAWA registered two goals on six power play opportunities. Amanda Smith made 41 saves for ETOBICOKE on 45 shots. ETOBICOKE incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
