CAMBRIDGE used a sparkling performance by Jenna Sosnoski to take down TORONTO, as the netminder did not allow a goal in CAMBRIDGE's 3-0 shutout victory. Brooklyn Irwin had two goals to lead CAMBRIDGE to victory. Irwin scored at 1:41 into the second period to make the score 1-0 CAMBRIDGE and again while 9:57 into the third to make the score 3-0 CAMBRIDGE. CAMBRIDGE excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. CAMBRIDGE kept TORONTO's goalie busy throughout the game, and Maggie Prince made 31 saves on 34 shots. CAMBRIDGE also got a goal from Rachel Holden (PU) as well. In addition, CAMBRIDGE received assists from Beatrice Harrietha, Angela MacDonald, Emma Davidson, Meagan Hart, and Amanda McClure, who contributed one a piece. TORONTO put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow CAMBRIDGE to score on any of its six power plays. TORONTO could not produce up to it normal offensive output. TORONTO averages 3.2 goals per game. CAMBRIDGE's Sosnoski stopped 28 shots out of the 28 that she faced. CAMBRIDGE incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. TORONTO incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
