A stellar performance between the pipes by Brooke Stoddart helped BRAMPTON defeat BLUEWATER, 2-1. BRAMPTON was sparked by Alessia Pasquariello, who had one goal and one assist. Pasquariello scored 3:10 into the third period to make the score 2-1 BRAMPTON. Shelby Dunn assisted on the tally. BRAMPTON excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. BRAMPTON's offense was handcuffed by BLUEWATER's defensive play, and BRAMPTON managed only nine shots on goal during the game. BRAMPTON also got a goal from Shaelynne Smith (A) as well. Other players who recorded assists for BRAMPTON were Laura Magliocchi and Caitlyn Manning, who contributed one a piece. BLUEWATER was led by Brooke Hartwick, who scored the team's only goal. Hartwick scored 10:27 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Taylor Philip picked up the assist. BRAMPTON's Stoddart stopped 27 shots out of the 28 that she faced. BRAMPTON totaled 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. BRAMPTON ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Janet Deane was ejected from the game. Sasha Weekes made seven saves for BLUEWATER on nine shots.
