Lisa Donachey scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and AURORA held off the challenges of BURLINGTON in a tough 3-1 win.

AURORA took over the lead for good with a goal by Donachey at 1:48 in the first period. Kayla Jardine assisted on the tally.

Brianna Veerman(A) had a great game for AURORA, netting two goals. Veerman(A) found the back of the net 7:00 into the first period to make the score 2-0 AURORA and again while 13:09 into the second to make the score 3-1 AURORA.

More assists for AURORA came via Caroline DeBruin(A), who had two and Maddison Lee, Alie Brindamour-McClure(A), and Jessica Gillham, who each chipped in one.

BURLINGTON was led by Karly Zammit, who scored the team's only goal. Zammit scored 10:59 into the first period to make the score 2-1 AURORA. Mellissa Channell provided the assist.

Taylor Lemmon made 24 saves for AURORA on 25 shots. AURORA incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Kyra OBrien recorded 22 saves for BURLINGTON. BURLINGTON incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
