OTTAWA tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but OAKVILLE held on for a 3-2 victory.

OAKVILLE made the score 3-0 on a goal by Andrea Benac at 9:28 in the second period, and OTTAWA got as close as 3-2 when Mackenzie Coney scored 10:43 into the third period.

OAKVILLE's penalty kill excelled, as OAKVILLE gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

OAKVILLE stifled OTTAWA's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

OAKVILLE was helped by Lindsay Stenason, who finished with one goal. Stenason scored 14:15 into the first period to make the score 2-0 OAKVILLE. Jessica Prevette assisted on the tally.
